Posted April 17, 200916 yr http://voices.washingtonpost.com/nationals...ationalsjournal Last line of the article: "The player Washington traded away is still pretty much the same player, according to scouts."
April 17, 200916 yr We already know this. Most scouts think he sucks. This is not new, all it is is the Nats writer trying to tell it's fans that they might not have lost that trade.
April 17, 200916 yr The critique on Bonifacio is probably accurate, I still think he has alot of value for this team if his glove becomes solid and gets on base

April 17, 200916 yr funny to hear him talk about Olsen's drop in velocity again... deja vu to early last season anyone?
April 17, 200916 yr It will be interesting to see how he responds this weekend in DC? As well as Willingham and Olsen against their old team? More back stories to this series than you'd expect plus the 500 gorilla in the room...how long Manny Acta lasts (you fire the manager not the players as the saying goes, but then again ask Lastings Milledge about that :censored ) if his Nats get swept? How's Dunn going to do in right field in his first game there this year as the Nats try to get Josh more playing time? As they used to say in the world of soap operas, "Tune in tomorrow..."
April 17, 200916 yr I get a kick out of the ups and downs he's got from everyone around baseball. We're 8-1 and looking good... give the kid 50 games before any judgemens are made. Odds are someone will be wrong and hope for the best. If bats .280 and gets a ton of runs and plays solid defense its a plus to a team that's going to go as far as the pitching takes them. Was really looking forward to this season and I'm giddy the way they're playing but I guess there always needs to be an argument.. The good thing is if worse comes to worse we know we have a leadoff hitter we can put there all though I think bonaficio is going to do fine.

He needs to hit at least .305-.310.
April 17, 200916 yr I thought this might be appropriate thread. Cameron Maybin is leading off tonight. EB isn't in the lineup, Helms playing third.

April 17, 200916 yr Kind of surprising considering how much success he had against Lannan during opening day. I would have thought Fredi would have allowed him to break out of this slump against him, but I guess not.

Didn't think he'd get a day off until we saw some good pitching.
