April 20, 200917 yr We're probably no where close to meeting it, but does anyone know what the best start for a team all time is? 162-0?
April 20, 200917 yr If you mean most consecutive wins to start a season, 13 by both Atlanta & Milwaukee. However, the 1984 Tigers won 9 straight to start off and continued on to 35-5.
April 20, 200917 yr Well yeah the mariners won the most games in a season but what about the beat start. Which depends on how many games in you consider a start. I think the 84 tigers started like 35-4.
April 20, 200917 yr 116 is the record for wins in a season so that might be off.... maybe the 1906 Cubs who won 116 games?
April 20, 200917 yr What was the record of the early 1900s Cubs team that had 116 wins after April? The 1906 Cubs who won 116 games were 10-6 in April. They apparently started the season later into April back in those days. The 2001 Mariners, who also won 116, were 20-5 in April.
April 20, 200917 yr Well, since we have one loss and this thread is about starting records, which team has the best winning record to two losses in record?
April 20, 200917 yr Well, since we have one loss and this thread is about starting records, which team has the best winning record to two losses in record? TY exactly... we need the records for best records with 1 loss, 2losses, 3,4,5 I think.
