Posted May 22, 200915 yr I just wanted to give some props to Andrew for coming out and being solid. Andrew went 7 innings, striking out 9 and only allowing 2 runs on his 24th birthday. I just felt like credit should be given when it is due, since most are so quick to bash Miller. Good job Andrew! Keep it up.
May 22, 200915 yr Absolutely, that's two real promising starts since returning from the injury. Great sign.
May 22, 200915 yr He was fantastic. I know Arizona strikes out a ton but even so I was extremely pleased that Miller got 9 strikeouts because he has tended to have some really low K games in the past despite being billed as a strikeout guy.
May 22, 200915 yr Since he turned 24 he's been pretty much lights out great :thumbup Actually that was what I was hoping would be usual turn in the rotation for Miller, with a little time I think we'll see even more of these gems. :beer Here's to you Andrew keep it up!
May 22, 200915 yr I was there, and even thought it was a loss, it was worth being at to see that performance. Only 6 runners allowed, 9 K. Fantastic stuff.
May 22, 200915 yr Arizona's offense is horrible. That being said, Andrew is good when he isn't behind every hitter and throwing a ton of balls.
May 22, 200915 yr Arizona's offense is horrible.    Despite that, they scored plenty of runs on our other pitchers.

May 22, 200915 yr Andrew will occasionally show flashes of brilliance like this. Sure, this is probably the best outing of his career, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if he does poorly his next outing. That's how he is. I won't get excited until he does it at least two or three times in a row.

I'm hoping this is him turning the corner, but I won't hold my breath.
