Leadership

Featured Replies

They need to feel fear. They have to earn their spot in the lineup/team. I know that we do not have anyone in the minors but who freakn cares because we are not winning anway.

Like you said, they need a leader to get this team in shape (and I am not taking about physical shape ;) ).

*ends vent*

They need to bring in a veteran for the pitchers. Whether it be a new coach or player. Just something. Anything. Please.

Good players? Look the Marlins have some of the most talent in all of MLB. That's not the problem.

Here are obvious problems that I see:

1) Bonifacio is not a 3rd baseman.

2) Bonifacio is not a starter.

3) Coghlan is and never will be a LFer.

4) Nolasco has been absolutely horrible this year.

5) Too many guys swinging for home runs.

Good players know how to put a ball in play with a runner at third and no outs. Good players don't make too many errors. This team does not have enough of those players.

Did you watch that game or just read about it?

This team needs a new manager.

Manager(s). Everyone needs to go.

There's only one manager.

I miss worded what I meant. What I meant is that not only Fredi might need to go, but Mark Wiley as well. Throw in Bo Porter and Andy Fox as well.

at this point, I wouldn't mind seeing the entire staff go, if it means winning, I don't give a sh*t what happens to our staff.

A veteran clubhouse leader. Hanley is NOT it. Helms is NOT it. Luis Gonzalez WAS it last year.

Hanley is definitely not a leader. Anyone else see him laughing and having a good time on the bench when down by 12 in the 3rd? ?? That is an unacceptable emotion to have at that point in the game by our superstar. They simply don't care, or at least they don't seem to. People should stop comparing this team to the 03 team. These guys have no heart and its a shame, as they have so much talent.

I am looking forwards to looking back at this post a month from now to realize I jumped the gun on these guys, as we will be in first place by then :)

I never understand the fire Wiley things.

We have one pitcher performing under expectations. That same pitcher who broke out last year in part because of a pitch tought to him by Wiley. A lot of our staff is performing over expectation.

Not his fault that Anibal is injured and Andrew was injured (well, actually it was his fault Andrew was injured, but that was for the greater good), that Pinto is Pinto and the back of our bullpen isn't good just like basically the other 29 bullpens in the league.

What this team needs is good players...

agreed. most of these guys should be playing minor league baseball....or atleast they would, in any other organization.

Maybe if they had a manager who would let them have it once in a while it may be a little better.

Have a protest outside the stadium demanding new leaders - have marlinsbaseball.com take over the team. Admin replacing Fredi of course!
