Hi,

I was planning on taking my son to a Marlins game this summer and was wondering which seats are the absolute best, regardless of price? Batters Box behind home plate? Founders Field seats? We don't get to go to too many games so I really want to go all out.

Thanks!

I usually sit in the Fish Tank because, well, I'm a teacher, but I won some Infield Box MVP tickets on ebay for very cheap for the Arizona doubleheader and I absolutely loved the seats. Row 8, right behind the Marlins dugout. Those are the best seats I've ever been it, but perhaps others on this board are more well versed in good seats?

Good luck.

I have a friend who has season tickets or whatever row 3 behind the marlins dugout and a few times a year i go with him or he gives me the tix and i love those seats. After sitting there nothing else really does it for me. Of course Ive never sat directly behind home on field level.

Personally, I think the Club seats are worth every penny. They might not give you the up-close view of the action like the box seats, but the club lounge, upgraded concession stands and AC/shade make them the best seats, regarldess of price.

My favorite seats are Outfield Terrace, Section 220. You get good sightlines for home plate, and usually there are seats available in the first couple of rows. Prime HR territory. Worth the extra 5 bucks over the fish Tank, IMHO.

I do love sitting behind Home Plate, field level seats. Except for the Skybox and nose bleed sections, I've sat everywhere for Fish games and Home Plate is my fav, 1st base line (over the Marlins' dugout) is next.

Behind home plate you get to hear the 'whack' of every pitch and can yell your heart out at the ump. The netting doesn't really restrict too much.

Now if you wanna go and take piccies, down one of the lines would do.

Well for behind home plate, or around there you can go to one of the 790 game, www.790theticket.com and get excellent seats for $7.90. I have sat in almost every vantage point in the stadium and my favorite is the infield box, just past the Marlins dugout, affordable for me. I also love the club level seats in power alley. The ones above the score board, you can't see deep center and left field but the view is great, and you get to walk on the suite level where there is alot of trophies and fun stuff to see!

Downstairs inside the bowl and especially over either of the dugouts (I like over the visitors because if you're low enough you can see into the Marlins dugout and I think you get a better view of the infielders in action but that's a matter of taste)are great.

The poor man's best seat has to be inside the bowl in the upperdeck, especially with small kids because a) it's unobstructed and b) they can see the whole field of play beneath them.

Right on the field by the 1st base line. I believe the area is called Founders Club MVP.

Players stretch there pregame, and if you go in the afternoon, they are 10x more likely to sign. A nice thing for a kid. Just bring a baseball and a sharpie or pen. its fun.

Or, if you just want seats. Section 142 offers pretty much the same thing, just a bit farther and a bit harder to get autographs. Its a nice area. Seats are also up to 150 cheaper dependign on the game.

My seats, Section 456, under the scoreboard. Litterally under the score board. If it rains your covered. If its too sunny, your covered. If you want to be alone, your alone.

side note: I love sitting in more expensive seats, then having a rain delay hit and go up to my "assigned" seat. Best was when someone yelled at me got close to being violent, then said no one buys seats that "Blanking High" and to stop talking "Junk". Whipped out my ticket, got the usher, and he had to STFU.

Just great.

I love sitting behind the marlins dugout. I think thats the best view.

On the nice seat side, I love the Club section, no matter what part. I also sat in the Batter's Box seats once, which is about 10 feet from home plate max, and they were ridiculously nice.

On the side of cheap seats, I do really like the Fish Tank out in center. Some say it's too far from the action, but I have no trouble calling balls and strikes from out there.

I got John Henry's seats once, back in 2000 - best ever for me.

He was Founders, Row One, first base side, just beyond the netting.

I preferred them to Batters Box, which all are blocked by the netting.
