They asked and Fredi said it was 100% his own fault, even though he did say that both Coghlan and De Aza missed him saying that it was a DS, it was his fault that he didn't notice CC go out there. That was reported by our beat guys like 10 minutes after the game.

He even put out several statements that he doesn't believe Tommy John increases velocity because of all the parents constantly asking him to do it on their kids.

I'm in playing high school ball and it is true, kids that start to feel pain in there arms, especially pitchers want this surgery done because they feel they'll be stronger and throw harder when it's done but out of the 4 people that i know have had it done only 1 has done well coming back. He worked his ass off and became a better pitcher then he was before and he's defiantly is throwing harder than he was before. But the the other two pitchers haven't really gotten better after the surgery and one graduated and doesn't even play any more. The other guy i know isn't a pitcher and had his surgery last year and is still rehabbing but he really didn't want it to happen it just did and he's gotten bigger and stronger from all his rehab session as well. So through my eyes it is pretty idiotic to push your self enough that you get hurt just to have the surgery because you want to be better while you can just train hard like you would in rehab and become just as good.

Earlier in the day, Major League Baseball sent a fax to the Marlins, informing them that the Yankees' protest, officially filed on Monday, was denied. Yeah i was thinking about that as well or maybe even in the bottom of the 9th or even after the game so then they most likely would have had to play the 8th over.

So if they had taken that strike away I guess he could have been in the game because that pitch never happened. Same could be said with a do over from the 8th on, I would presume. As it turns out, with us winning anyways and with MLB's decision, it's irrelevant.

I'm not a GI Joe fan by any means, but he did it the right way. Even the protest. That was bound to fail, but you gotta give it a shot by using all your options.
