PC at 33 through 2.

Like I said, not his fault so far.

I know, he should have had 15 pitchers max in that 1st inning.

I said that too. :)

This is a typical VandenHurk start. He usually goes 3 good scoreless innings, and then everything falls apart. Lets see what happens post inning 3 before we call him god.

From 100 being the highest:

Vandenhurk

Control: 24

K-Ratio: 96

Efficiency: 49

West

Control: 46

K-Ratio: 86

Efficiency: 78

Miller

Control: 31

K-Ratio: 89

Efficiency: 68

so far vandy>miller>west

2 seamers got good movement and decent control

If he can finally get passed the 6th inning then maybe, but this is only his 1st start.

well hes already doing better than miller. yes i know it was the phillies but he couldnt throw a strike to save his life

Well considering that was one start and this is Vandy's 1st start you can't say he's exactly better.

Lets wait til he gets 6 or 7 starts before making any assumptions.

I hate when sites start rating players like that.

Seems like Coghlan is going after a lot more pitches out of the zone lately which is attributing to this slump.

That looked like Cantu's stance.

No I think it was either Gwinn Sr. or Abreu because it was a lefty.

no no. It's not Abreu and I dont know about Gwinn Sr. I've seen it before as well, but I can't quite put my finger on the player. It's a short, choppy guy though. Gah, this is going to bother me

good?

no, my original post is correct. People on this board tend to go crazy gaga over players after one good start, and jump all over them after a bad start. Just let time take its course.

And we have to wait til the Post Game Show for the answer :(

That's gonna be at 12 to 1 in the morning.

And VandenHurk has gotten through his prototypical 3 innings of good work. Now here is the test, during his time in the majors it has always seemed that Vandy always loses his control after 3 innings.

Yep Yep, he usually gets hit harder the 2nd time through the lineup.

Did anyone else notice the camera shake when the pitch was being delivered? I always follow the pitch with my eyes so that was a pretty damn unpleasant experience lol
