August 14, 200916 yr Mike Vick signed by Eagles... according to ESPN during their MNF broadcast A two year deal. I truely believed that he was going to the Patriots. Well Vick just made sure he will be in at least the NFC Championship game next season. I actually wonder what they will do. I mean they signed McNabb to an extension, they drafted Kolb as the QB of the future, and now they have Vick. Good problem to have though. I guess the Eagles are establishing the wildcat as well, only reason to really sign Vick. http://sports.espn.g...tory?id=4397938 His agent has confirmed this. I honestly feel this is a great fit for Vick, Big named frachise, team with an already established QB starting, a tough fanbase and a good chance to win this year (may I add a very good coach in Reid imo).
August 14, 200916 yr *Thursday night... in my OP Come on PWG, you and I both know that "real" football doesn't begin until August 17th, I mean that is like common knowlege that the defending AFC East champs are more important than the Super Bowl champs. I mean we have Chad Pennington! You have some guy with a last name nobody can spell.

August 14, 200916 yr Roethlisberger. For some reason, I've never had problems spelling it. I'm watching the Skins and the Ravens playing kickball right now. I can't wait to see Haynesworth in action during the regular season.

August 14, 200916 yr Author oh, come on. I mean everybody knows that the Dolphins are superior . I'd say "We'll see" but the Steelers will probably be resting players when the Dolphins/Steelers play this year... I might go to that game, though

August 14, 200916 yr Vick for wildcat QB? http://myespn.go.com...formation-.html most definitely. Should've noticed all the signs that he would be going to the Eagles, who out of the 6 most likely teams still available for Vick used the wildcat the most last season. Hell they have Jackson, Maclin, Vick, McCoy, and Westbrook who are all guys that can run the wildcat. I'm telling you that Eagles offense will be extremely dangerous next year. EDIT: Holy sh*t. Look at the contract the Eagles gave Vick. $1.6 million the first season, and a $5.2 million option for the second season. I could sworn that Vick would get the league minimum after a 2 year absence. Guess the Eagles feel he will really contribute in the wildcat week 6 and beyond.
August 14, 200916 yr some eagles fans are not happy with the vick signing, with some boycotting the team due to it. a bit overreactive i say. i would give him a second chance, but i would balk due to his previous lack of good decision skills (ron mexico and the pot and other things), and he was an overhyped qb anyway. i wonder if they will slash vick...

August 14, 200916 yr No Eagle fan is going to stop being a fan of the team because of this. It's just like the people that say they will stop watching baseball if ___ took steroids. I think it's a good signing by the Eagles, and will help them with their wildcat offense.

August 14, 200916 yr I like what the Dolphins did reacquiring J.T. and getting some good DB's but I still think we need that go to receiver on the offensive side. Ginn can be good in a few years, Camarillo is a solid route runner but won't blow anyone away with his speed and Bess has done better then expected. Fasano IMO will be huge for us esepcially in the red zone and should be up there in TD's among Tight Ends. It's gonna be tough getting to the playoffs this season with the schedule we have I mean we start the season off against the Falcons, Colts and Chargers. Then we get the plesure of finishing the season off vs The Defending World Champs along with the Saints, Panthers, Titans, Bucs and Pats.

August 14, 200916 yr There's a guy in New England. The name is Tom Brady. He is now healthy, again. Good luck to the rest of the NFL.
August 14, 200916 yr There's a guy in New England. The name is Tom Brady. He is now healthy, again. Good luck to the rest of the NFL. Just because he is playing doesn't mean the NFL is totally screwed. I'd like to see how he plays when the regular season starts. Let's see how he trusts that knee. And, btw, Brady is one player. He doesn't block for himself, or play defense. The Patriots can lose.
August 14, 200916 yr Brady under threw a few balls last night. Looked a little tentative stepping into is throws. Personally I hate the Pats and Love seeing Brady pissed on the side line after he throws a pick. I'm a little nervous about this season with the colts changing coaches but Ive liked everything Ive read and the new D coordinator Coyer has me excited. Plus we got some bigger DT's so maybe we wont get ran over. Donald Brown should also help addai and get our running game outta the gutter.
