August 17, 200916 yr It's not that I'm trying to disparage the Giants or anything, I can't say it enough, they are a good team. But, there really is no such thing as a juggernaut in today's NFL, not with the specialization and niches in the game. This is the point I/we have been trying to stress to you, Miller. There's way too much parity in the league. Every team in that division can beat the Giants. Teams are way closer than you're making it out to be. Players today are not like they used to be. There's not much difference physically between the best and worst players. Coaching, planning, and sometimes downright luck come into play in today's NFL WAY more than just which team has the better players, of course with some notable exceptions.
August 17, 200916 yr lmao ahhhhh the truth comes out. the clouded eyes of a hater Force his way out? McDumbass has no one to blame but himself on that one. Denver fans can thank him for being the first idiot to trade a franchise QB in the history of the NFL. and the great fan base of denver? The same ones that openly booed orton the entire first practice.. or the same ones who compared everything anyone did to elway? lol! those comments were nothing but trying to kiss chicago fans ass and it worked. oh yea, and his teammates love him here. Bobby wades an idiot.

Bobby wades an idiot. Cutler was the one that got pissy and whiny that they wanted to bring in the new head coach's old QB. It was a completely reasonable want, in that, it'd be easier to install a new offensive system with a QB that's been studying/running it for a while, as opposed to the incumbent... Especially if they could have netted something else (draft pick, useful player) in addition to Cassell (through trading Cutler) And every historical fan base compares players to past stars... Ben's compared to Bradshaw, Rodgers had to hear about Favre till everyone got sick of talking about it in Green Bay, and down the line future Patriots and Colts QBs will be getting compared to Brady/Manning... heck, Cassell had to put up with it. The AFC West really had some prima donna QBs in Rivers and Cutler, man...
August 18, 200916 yr if anyone outside of Florida is a dolphins fan you can watch the pre season game here: http://www.channelsurfing.net/watch-nfl.html enjoy!

Bobby wades an idiot. I think it's way more like you're being stubborn as a Bears' homer. Seriously now, anyone who doesn't think it's completely Cutler's fault and that he was a huge baby fag who couldn't handle the business of the game legitimately has something wrong in the head. I don't think anyone's hating on Cutler's skill in this whole argument, I think we're just trying to get you to see that you can't just take Cutler's numbers last year and think he's going to bring that to Chicago, in a new offense, new players, completely different system of run-first and play defense. I don't think anyone should really think he's going to come close to that. We're just saying that you have to understand that the acquisition of a more skilled QB in a system that doesn't require that much out of the QB position is not as big of an improvement as you are claiming it to be.
August 18, 200916 yr not sure if anyone already posted this but ESPN is reporting that tom cable punched an assistant and broke his jaw. what the f*** is that about??
August 18, 200916 yr Author not sure if anyone already posted this but ESPN is reporting that tom cable punched an assistant and broke his jaw. what the f*** is that about?? Man, if the coaches are hitting each other, that'll be some hard knocked football... On a more serious note, I just saw that on ESPN, but I also read an article about how they approached pre-season and I really liked it.
August 18, 200916 yr oh great. favre might be joining the vikings sometime during the preseason. the last thing i want to see on ESPN is them showing favre getting in and out of his truck again like it's some kind of world wide breaking news

August 18, 200916 yr Not really favres's fault. The players are the ones saying they expect him to sign. They're bringing him into this. Btw, I think the Broncos got the better end of the deal. Two first round picks and a solid QB= Good Job.

Two first round picks and a solid QB= Good Job. He's the one who's said he would retire (how many times now? Even cried on multiple occasions b/c of it), only to comeback...again...and again...will it ever end? I don't even know why NFL teams have interest in waiting for this guy's comeback anymore. I'd say he hurt the Jets more than he helped them last season. Say Minnesota gets him now...that's yet another playbook he'll have to learn in the middle of preseason this time. It's unfair to Jackson and Rosenfels who have actually been working with the team, and battling for the position. And there's a possibility Minnesota doesn't even become better by picking him up. Insane, really. But we'll now hear about it, once again, 24/7 on ESPN.
August 18, 200916 yr I just said the players are the ones who are saying he will come back. He never came out and said he wants to come back this time. This is all on the players, not Favre.

August 18, 200916 yr My message to Brett Favre He needs to learn that the word "retirement" should actually mean something. EDIT: I also don't get that he is getting offered a 1 year, $12 million deal. I mean Chad Pennington, a player who will be 10X better than Favre this year with a lot less hype, got a 2 year $7.9 million contract from the Dolphins. I believe the only QB's that are making $12 million next year are Eli and Peyton Manning. F*cking overrated old Favre getting all this ESPN waste of news.
August 18, 200916 yr As a huge Vikings fan........I am soooooo stoked! Have fun with last years leader in interceptions. Remember what he did in those last 7 games as a Jet? Well, that is the Brett Favre you are going to get. Hell the Vikings QB's last year had a better QB-INT ratio than Favre did last year (Favre-22/22, Vikings QB's-22/17). True Favre had a better completion percentage and QB Rating, but the team is going to become a media circus, and all for a guy who is way past his prime and overpaid at this point. Amazing. Just remember, the last two years, Favre's last important pass was an interception. He'll do just that when the Vikings reach the playoffs.

August 18, 200916 yr Minnesota is instantly 3x better with Favre at QB. And NFL.com's twitter posted a link to Favre Vikings gear... so I'm guessing what happens at 6PM won't be much of a surprise.
August 18, 200916 yr 25 mil... unbelievable. It is pretty unbelievable but you can't blame the guy for getting the dough if the team wanted him, weather he sucks or not and might be done for the season after one hit.
August 18, 200916 yr Wow, he actually came back. He got offered 25 mill, though, so I don't blame him.
August 19, 200916 yr All this crap the Favre is pulling makes me prouder and prouder to to be a Dolphin fan. I'm so glad Marino never pulled this crap. He retired once(probably a couple seasons late) and never looked back. As far as I'm concerned Marino is ahead of Favre on the all time list. Marino broke all the records faster and in fewer games anyway. Of course it wil be a moot point 5 years or so from now when Payton Manning breaks all the records. Even worse than unretiring he's playing for the Packers arch rival now. Could you imagine Marino unretiring and playing for the Bills? Do Packer fans hate him even more now or did they already dis avow him? I'm setting the over/under for Favre INT's this season at 22.
August 19, 200916 yr favre is a pathological liar. i love his lie about how he was just out of no where called by childress and he accepted his offer to become the teams quarterback even though he supposedly told the team he was staying "retired". the media, the fans, everyone knows he just didn't want to participate in training camp but he just keeps making sh*t up. favre is going to cause webster's dictionary to have to change the definition of "retired".
