BC recalled

Featured Replies

Just got this from my marlin rep in the daily notes. Sorry no link. It was an email.

TRANSACTIONS: Last night, the Marlins placed INF Nick Johnson on the 15-day Disabled List with a strained right hamstring. Today, Florida recalled OF Brett Carroll from triple-A New Orleans.

The best part of this whole thing, the BC and CC show may be back on the air.

Carroll has been as cold as ice in NO.

That's fine. We got our best defensive OF'er back, at the very least.

Probably going back to late inning defensive replacement and lefty platoon role.

Good Too see him back although he had a bad 1st AB back and took a pretty bad route to a flyball but those things a fixable with more playing time.

I wouldn't say that it's little known. Some on here have mentioned similarities [of a sort] to Cody Ross. He just doesn't put enough balls in play at this point.

A lot of those #'s also came in Albuquerque...

Little known fact about BC. The guy has power. He hit 33 HR's in the past 3 AAA seasons (including this year) in 488 at bats.

The PCL has a lot to do with that, especially ABQ.
