Sept. 5 - Marlins ^ Nationals

Good question. He only had 82 pitches. I guess since we have a plethora of long relievers in the pen, it doesn't matter. But I still think we should have left him in.

I am glad for Hayes hitting his first career HR though, so it all works out.

Why did JJ only go 5?

His PC was only at 82 but he just didn't look right tonight.

I would have let him go one more but hopefully Freddi made the right move pitching wise.

What was so "not right" the last 3 innings?

I remember reading an article recently that Fredi wanted to "go easy" on using JJ, since he hasn't pitched this much before in his career.

Nothing really but the 1st 2 we're a struggle for him and it was probably a talk between Freddi, Wiley and J.J. if he should keep going or not.

Let's hope the pen can finish it off without a problem.

With this lead there is no reason to risk injury. The bullpen should be able to mop up the rest.

That makes sense.

Why did JJ only go 5?

He had a rough start, threw a bunch of pitches early, and his spot in the lineup had come up, and we had a 5 run lead. I'm sure there were some other factors, but that's off the top of my head.

who's the analyst announcer for the Nats?....forgot his name...the dickhead?

Now I remember...Rob Dibble...well i was asking cuz I have the MLB at bat app for my iPod and it uses the local station for video highlights and on the double play that Livan hit himself into, instead of keeping his mouth shut, douchebag dibble blatantly yells "Take him out" as Michael Orr slide into second...not that im surprised since he has the reputation of being a douchebag

Cantu seems like he can only hit RBI doubles nowadays... shame.

(sarcasm for you slow people).

Maybe he got his HR swing back, but since April, he hasn't done too much of this.
