November 19, 200916 yr Lincecum wins 2nd straight Cy Young in my opinion he got lucky becaused Carpenter and Wainwright split the votes that normally would have gone to one or the other Cogratulations to Lincecum anyway http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20091115&content_id=7669426&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb

November 19, 200916 yr That's exactly what I expected to happen. If the two Cards played in different cities I think Carpenter would have had it.

November 19, 200916 yr No question he deserved it. Yes, I think he has a legitimate shot at a 3rd straight Cy next season, especially if the Giants can add a bat or two to that anemic offense of theirs.

November 20, 200916 yr I thought Wainwright was going to get it, but Lincecum definitely deserves it.

November 20, 200916 yr Interesting note, Keith Law didn't even have Carpenter in his top 3. Keith Law seems to be having a bad week. Must've had something bad at work, because it seems like he has a stick up his ass lately.

November 20, 200916 yr Author BTW I have nothing against Lincecum winning but Carpenter ended the season strong in a pennant race and Lincecum wilted

November 20, 200916 yr Does anyone think Lincecum can match or better 4 consecutive Cy Young Awards, which is the current record held by Greg Maddux and Randy Johnson. Obviously it will depend on him awarding a serious injury.
