March 4, 201016 yr Impossible for a mid season change. Look up Marlins 1991 and it shows us playing the cubs. Getty sometimes has the wrong dates. http://www.baseball-almanac.com/teamstats/schedule.php?y=1992&t=SEA SEPT 1 they played BOS. 1993 they played MIL on SEPT 2. Could be, but I don't see how it's impossible for a team to switch uniforms mid-season. I remember the Heat changed their uniforms in the middle of the '99-'00 season. MLB rules. NHL has similar rules and I think so does the NFL. And yeah, Piazza's right (I knew it was impossible for you to make a good point). Also, Piazza, you're a giant liar. You're going to buy the new jersey and you know it. Don't need the new Jersey unless Piazza comes outta retirement. I want the whole Board to see me walking down the stadium steps when I go and for others to think I'm a dumbass for putting a mets player on a marlins jersey. Ignorance is a fun thing to toy with. The Hat, on the other hand, I'm buying. So let me get this straight. You think Piazza would come out of retirement in or by 2012, join the Marlins, and you would be the only one that knows it??
March 4, 201016 yr Ummm--that just means they have 1 Billion people in Japan wear Ichiro T-shirts. A billion people living on those mountainous islands? Impossibly crowded. My guess would be under 150 million. And I would even throw in the Ryukyu Islands, which the USA gave back to Japan in the 1970's. (I was actually there the day they switched from driving on the right to driving on the left. That day was fun.) Population of Japan as of 2008 - 127,704,000

Not many people know/ remember Piazza was a Marlin before a met. I'll keep wearign my 98 marlins jersey with piazza on the back until he unretires and plays for the marlins again.

March 17, 201016 yr Well, it looks like you were correct fishheatcats, The Marlins are wearing the Pinstripe homes and the F logo is missing. It might just be me or its the lighting but I can hardly see any teal in the Marlins Script. I didnt want to believe they were changing up all three jerseys because the Away jersey is the only new one for sale right now on MLB.com, but i guess the proof is there.
March 17, 201016 yr I think it was officially announced that the team was dropping the patch. I don't believe there was any question of that.

March 17, 201016 yr Yeah there definately was. I was thinking that if they are changing all three, why can you only buy the Away and not the other two. I wonder what the holdup is there. And the more i watch this game. I cant notice any teal in the Pinstripe uni. EDIT: After looking for an official Marlins article, this is the only one I remember seeing. http://florida.marlins.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20100105&content_id=7875484&vkey=news_fla&fext=.jsp&c_id=fla It doesnt mention changing anything other then the road, so who knows to be honest.

During half the games, the jerseys always appear to have no teal. I have noticed that in the past few seasons. It's just the poor quality of the production. But I did notice it more on games that were also being shown in HD.
March 17, 201016 yr by 1 billion i was being sarcastic. if they flew over your head, then i'm sorry. I always like to point out real bad overexagerration. If that continually flies over your head, then I'm not really sorry or surprised.

There was some confusion as to whether it would only be dropped from the road or if it was all three uniforms. I thought there was an announcement even earlier that said it would have been gone from all three uniforms. This was when there was a rumor that the team was dropping the black alternate. I guess it doesn't matter anyway.
March 18, 201016 yr as important as merchandise revenue is, you can bet your ass that the changes to come to the uniforms are going to look great (teal or no teal) and as much as I love the colour, I look forward to a change to go along with our new Miami identity
