November 16, 200322 yr i thought this may interest you guys considering he was an announcer for the Marlins for awhile. I hated him, he was awful. I wanna know what you guys thought of him.
November 16, 200322 yr to tell you the truth, i kinda liked him. he happens to be a part of a lot of warm, fuzzy, nostalgic memories of mine. he did this "the marlins are in the WIN column" thing... it wouldn't surprise me if he did it with the giants too, but i was a fan. of course i didn't have a whole lot of baseball announcers to compare him to, and i never really was the type of person to analyze someone's play-by-play. i guess you can say i just zone out when announcers speak (which is kinda bad for radio games).

November 16, 200322 yr Joe got canned by Henry for warning the fans of his cheapness. Was the 2000 season, I hope he returns, DVH alongside him on the radio side will be interesting. The guy worked with the largest egomaniac in baseball radio, Jon Miller.

November 16, 200322 yr I'm sorry but Jon Miller and Duane Kuiper can be very boring and annoying. Kuiper is in almost every FOX telecast with the Giants and Miller is on Sunday Night Baseball.
November 16, 200322 yr Author Miller is the best announcer in baseball besides Vin Scully, and Duane Kuiper is another great announcer. Mike Krukow is great if you're a Giants fan

November 17, 200322 yr Jon Miller did the same in Balitmore with Angelos. Angelos sent him packing immediately, as I remember, Angel was dismissed in the offseason.

November 18, 200322 yr Author Jon Miller is the #2 announcer in baseball behind Scully, and Kuip is another great announcer, with the best home run call in baseball.
