SilverBullet
Umm, i hope Im not speaking too soon but does anyone else feel "better" about this bullpen now? If Veras is for real, Hensley is healthy, Leo is more dominant, Hopper is back to his 2009 self, Meyer has "fixed" himself... and then you get regular decency from Tank and Sanches... plus an innings-eating strike thrower in Sanabia... then suddenly our bullpen is at least middle of the road and capable of holding more games down. Tommy Hutton says the bullpen has to sort itself out at the beginning of the season... its a damn shame that its taken HALF of the season but the past few days I've felt that things are at least somewhat starting to fall into place. Dont get me wrong, I'm not saying their lights out... I'm just saying they're seemingly less likely to bring impending doom. Anyone else? popeyethesailor
Looks like Volstad did well for New Orleans. 6 inns no runs a no decision with typical poor run support----zero. Him and West should be up

PhxPhin
With Clay & Hopper I'm not sure there is a need for someone else with long relief ability I had a good time at the game yesterday - my wife was actually inspired and wanted to try her hand at keeping score which was fun to work through looking back there were a lot of 1-2-3 innings on both sides much respect to the bullpen for doing a really good job keeping them down marlins caught a couple of breaks, but also had a couple of hard luck plays scary moment early in the game .... i think it was coghlan who blasted a ball down LF foul ..... unfortunately the ball hit some poor girl in the face .... she was a trooper though, I saw her getting carried by her mother around the 7th inning still holding a bloody rag & ice to her face .... hope she will be OK also, walking from the parking garage to the stadium in temps nearing 110 and stepping into a nice, climate controlled stadium with natural grass and some natural light it made me that much more excited for when the marlins get their new park unfortunately between lost opportunity in this game, the mets series, etc I think time is running short and they'll be strategic sellers

He is only making around half a mil this season.
