Stanton's Bomb

He only hit a measly double today :/ I'm worried.

This kind of inconsistency is what the experts were talking about.

Uh oh, a power drop-off :thumbdown

500 feet?

I call BS.

It probably was going at least 800 feet.

When he hit it, you just knew it was gone. But I question that 500 foot. Maybe.

The second one I didn't think was going to get out. I think the wind helped that one a bit. The wind was blowing pretty good to that field all day.

Regardless, he had a very good first day. There was an audible sigh of relief from the predominatley BoSox crowd when he was replaced after his RBI single.

I've been saying it since the beginning, guys a scrub

For a potentially good idea of what we may really be witnessing, read this article:

http://www.latimes.c...story?track=rss

and then read it again substituting "Stanton" for "Mantle" while recalling the comments about Stanton's power in articles about last year in the minors, last year in the majors and this year in ST.

It's a bit uncanny.

Freaking bum pops out to the catcher with bases loaded no out. Is to late to send him down?

actually from the international space station it was reported that the ball orbited the earth one time and then came down for the catcher

I heard twice.

Plus it stopped on the moon halfway around the second time to take pictures of the space station.
