June 2, 201115 yr The early returns are always skewed towards big names because they start the voting early every year. For the most part, the guys who deserve it will make their way up the rankings. June 2, 201115 yr Jeter's probably going to end up losing his spot, that usually happens with guys who are struggling that badly. Beyond him, the other 5 Yankees currently leading the voting are all probably in the top 2-3 at their positions in the AL right now, so they aren't exactly egregious picks. Yeah, Cabrera > Teixiera, and Kendrick > Cano, but it's not like they're totally off base.
June 2, 201115 yr Author I'm surprised that Hanley isn't in the top five even though he's sucking so badly. I think there are a lot of people who might not be aware that he's struggling because the Marlins don't get much media coverage.
