November 26, 200322 yr Lowell is in the prime of his career. We don't know what this man is capable of! Pudge is going over the hump and will probably ask for too much $$. Uggy: Did you watch the playoffs? I'll take Looper any day. Encarnacion: Lost his starting job. Bye bye Castillo: Tough year but is the runner up to Lowell in terms of importance. Him and JP are really really key to this team.
November 26, 200322 yr Author imo Mr Lowell.. Agreed. Looper can take over for Urbina, who was plain scary in the postseason. Pudge is going to ask for too much, and is a 30 something catcher. Enc is a good player, but heck he lost his job last year, and he isn't worth the money to keep. That leaves it at Luis and Mike, and I think Mike is simply a better player at an important position in the hot corner.

November 26, 200322 yr Pudge. Simple He is a team very good team leader and the has the most experience on the team. He carried us throught the Season, Playoffs and Worldseries. The pitchers feel very comftable with him since he is the #1 Best Defensive catcher in the MLB. We need to keep this guy if we want to contend.
November 26, 200322 yr Castillo, people may say that we don't need him because we have Pierre, I think that is bull. The Pierre-Castillo combination at the top of the lineup was the best in the majors. This style of play worked for us last year, and why change it. Sure, I wish he stole as much he used to but it is not needed as much with Pierre in front of him. Let's face it the guy is still great at getting on base. He does the little things to win games. Not to mention he was an all-star for the 2nd year in a row and won the gold glove. In my opinion he is the hardest to replace.

November 26, 200322 yr Pudge. A good argument for him: Our pitchers struggle at holding runners on, and teams rarely took the chance to test them with Pudge catching.
November 26, 200322 yr Lowell. sign him for 3 or 4 years, and then with about a year and half left on his contract, deal him. you can really rake a team like the Yankees or Red Sox or Mariners like that.
