Wild card races

Yup. The Yankees are definitely throwing the game.

Yeah you're right; the Rays deserve no credit for hitting home runs. The Yankee pitchers hit the home runs for them.

Actually I believe he's mocking me for saying that they're throwing the game after developing a 7-0 lead and blowing it pretty quickly.

I wasn't mocking anybody. I'm a conspiracy nut, so i half believed it.

Oh, I totally thought you were being sarcastic lol.

But yeah, I kinda half believed it, too.

I hope this Rays team wins the World Series. I really don't care for them or anything, but I don't understand why anyone hates them. And they're a lot of fun. Especially since they let everyone go this past offseason and have done the improbable. They make the "only way you can win is by spending a ton of money!" people look like idiots.

They're a great sports story.

I refer you to my roommate from hell thread.

Every time I see that despicable logo and jersey I think of him. I never used to have a problem with them. Now I hate everything about them.

Exactly.

Teams like the Rays just reinforce my opposition to the salary cap.

All I'm saying is that I understand what you're saying... there's no reason for any given person to not like the Rays. But I have my reasons.

What an epic night of baseball. I might have been the only guy here upset about the Braves choke, but damn that AL chase was awesome and made up for it.

I was rooting against the Braves because I wanted to see Fredi go down, but darnit if the guy they interviewed at the end of it was Uggla and I wouldn't have minded seeing Uggla get a chance to really make a name for himself a la Cody last year. In the end, it was too much fun rootin for the Braves to collapse. I'm used to seeing the Phillies and Cards in there, and unless its the Yankees I'll be rooting for the AL.

I just find the Rays and their fans kind of annoying ever since the summer of '08. Their fans were so much cooler when they lost.

And let us not forget that we had pretty much a full house tonight... and they're in extra innings in a 1 game playoff race and people are walking out the door in a half full crowd.

And we get sh*t for bad fans.

Yeah, that was ridiculous. I don't know how they couldn't show up for this. I get that the stadium sucks but for THIS?! Come on.

I bet a lot of people would say that about Red Sox after before 2004 too.

I bet they were but I just about never interact with Red Sox fans.

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS, MY FRIEND! AND WE'LL KEEP ON FIGHTING 'TIL THE END!

RAYS WIN! AL WILD CARD!

SUCK ON THAT HATERS!

Most fanbases are annoying. Including this fanbase except we don't acknowledge it because we're all a part of the fanbase.

However, go to a Marlins game and odds are you're going to be sitting around some idiots.

It's rather impossible to hate the actual organization (Rays) and what they've done, though.

Well, I'm hoping that things line up for a Brewers-Rays World Series.

I don't like the Brewers. They're a cocky bunch; I hope Arizona sweeps them. Arizona's a better story, anyway.

See?

Also, don't go singing that song until your standing at the end. It's poor form.
