December 12, 201114 yr I know they're just trying to sell papers (something they haven't been very good at lately..), but is anyone else getting tired of their constant negativity towards the team and ballpark???
December 12, 201114 yr It's been that way for quite some time. If you don't like it, don't read it and get your Marlins news from other media outlets.
December 12, 201114 yr The people that actually buy that paper probably use it to cover up their dog's piss and feces.
December 12, 201114 yr For those who don't care, they should start caring. It is relevant that the only major newspaper in Miami-Dade County is constantly seeking to build support for the anti-stadium anti-marlins lobby. Of course the paper generally doesnt really have a great reputation, so the effect may be minimal. The most we can do is not buy the paper and stay away from their website as much as possible.
December 12, 201114 yr This one pissed me off... and most recently, the silver monstrosity of the new Florida Marlins stadium erected to dwarf the neighborhood http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/11/06/2489417/miami-man-believed-killed-by-massive.html The thing is that the article has nothing to do with the stadium. It's about a guy who got stung by bees, fell down some stairs, and died. The only reason it was brought up was because the house was in Little Havana.
December 12, 201114 yr The Herald too worried about selling their own property to Genting Americas so they can build a 3 billion dollar resort casino. I can't tell you how many times I have opened up the Herald to a box score from a HS football game that is completely wrong, or the Florida Panthers current player stats reflecting the names from the roster during from the early 2000's. It's embarresing to me because my Gradnfather worked for the Herald for over 40 years, even working on the sidelines as a phtoographer during the Dolphins '72 campaign. He is long retired andnow is a subscribing to the Sun Sentinel. That should tell you as much as you need to know.

That place has been deteriorating in recent years. There have been massive layoffs in the last few years alone. No job is safe...except for guys like Clark Spencer, Barry Jackson and Greg Cote, apparently. The Sun-Sentinel isn't much better, though. They drink the Marlins Haterade too (Dave Hyde is the worst).
December 12, 201114 yr Its nothing better than a fish wrapper. I gave up my subscription to the Herald in 2004, after having it for 22 years. Good riddance. I hope they file chapter 11 as has been rumored.

December 13, 201114 yr It's been that way for quite some time. If you don't like it, don't read it and get your Marlins news from other media outlets. There's nothing wrong with critiquing products or services one uses.
