Anibal Sanchez felt some soreness behind his right shoulder after a throwing session Friday.

The Marlins are simply calling him day-to-day for now, but it's always a concern when a pitcher has an issue with his shoulder, especially when it's someone with a long injury history like Sanchez. The right-hander says he's not worried, though, and hopes to make his Grapefruit League debut next Friday. We'll keep an eye on his progress.

slather some capsolin on that and get some cortisone shots and suck it up!

*our father in heaven... hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come*

Im I right in saying that cortisone shots will dull the pain for 3 to 6 months

Depends on the person really...I remember a few years ago I had a cortisone shot in my knee and it didn't last 2 weeks

Anibal is feeling better & will be pushed back 1 day simply as precautionary...

SANCHEZ GOES EASY

Anibal Sanchez said his right shoulder is feeling better, but the Marlins are having him go easy until he’s sure it’s at full strength. Sanchez complained of some tightness in the shoulder late last week.

“They want to make sure, and I want to make sure, that there’s not a problem, Sanchez said. “The soreness is less than it was two days ago.

Said Guillen: “He’s fine. Even if he told me he feels great, I’d rather him miss a day than two weeks. That’s why we’re going to push him back one day to get him back on track.
