He's speculating here and not reporting, but if a team were to look into taking Lind off Toronto's hands, Miami would be about as good a fit as any. The Fish shipped the disappointing Gaby Sanchez to Triple-A Saturday and now have a massive hole at first, assuming Logan Morrison isn't shifted to the position immediately. Lind is hitting .186/.273/.314 through 132 plate appearances this season and finished with a brutal .251/.295/.439 slash line in 2011. But almost 10M contract remained. That's not good.

May 20, 201214 yr there was an article about him on sbnation. basically he's had one good year and has blown since then, with peripherals getting progressively worse. he's also a liability on defense. no thanks.

Not looking to the future. This team is built to win right now. Give me two years of Lee. We have enough young guys on the team we could use a vet that can still hit.
May 20, 201214 yr I think it's funny that people complain about Gaby, yet some of those same people are looking forward to guys who are basically Gaby, only worse defensively and making a lot more money.
