Because Buck actually has a shot to tie the game. I can understand why people dislike him right now, but he's capable of tying the game.

 

Solano is not a good hitter, really.

 

+ you're just wasting players because you need a pinch-hitter for the 9th spot, as well.

Solano has shown an ability to get hits lately though and is on a mini hot streak and Buck hasn't shown anything in quite awhile. I understand that he has some pop but others have a better chance of getting on base and giving another person a chance to drive them in. Oh well. Hard to win a game with so many left on base....

4-7 within the last 3-4 games hes played. Hence used the word "lately" as well. How many has Buck had in his last 7 games?

0. But still. He's shown over time he has pop and all. Solano has shown nothing. 4-8 is nothing. I could go 4-8 in a given stretch. It's a bit of luck.
