Turner should have gotten the win but whatever.

And you know what, for all the rumors about the Marlins saying they are unhappy with attendance. They had over 29,000 tonight and over 30,000 on Saturday and over 28,000 on Sunday. They have consistently averaged over 23,000 - 24,000 and when you are over 20 games under .500 in September in a season that was a "colossal failure", you can't complain with those numbers.

So I won't fall for the bulls*** they feed us if they use lower than expected attendance as a reason to lower payroll. Had they performed, attendance would've hovered around 30,000 a lot more.

It's the last home series of the season. I'm sure the numbers are up because of people wanting to catch them one last time and from people who waited till the last minute to see the new stadium.

Not more than 10-15 games ago the stadium was horribly empty. Like maybe 10,000 people.

Yes but the paid attendance is what matters. Whether they show up or not the team still gets that money.

Next years payroll won't be set using the average of this year's attendance numbers. It will be what next year's numbers will be predicted at. And although next year's numbers will have some to do with the team's performance this year, it just barely brushes on the reasons.

Season ticket holders recieved their reup notices weeks ago, the team saying they wanted answers by October 2nd. Anyone here do that? If you did, and you had taken the "double up option" they offered back in 2010, did you keep that double up or did you drop to what you had pre 2012? Or did you drop to an even lower (less games) package? This is where the average attendance numbers for next year are going to drop the most.

Got a new level of respect for the Marlins organization for what they did with Greenburg. Kudos, Marlins.

Why thank you, Rays Guy :D

I have a new level of respect for the Rays for ... ... having 5 straight winning seasons now? That's good stuff!
