December 3, 200322 yr We need to sign Fox. That is a must. Since we arent going to re-sign Urbina, Fox is next on the list. He was very good with us last season and can be our replacement if Looper fails. Also their has been trade talks with Loop and the Cubs. So Fox needs to be signed.

December 3, 200322 yr This will be a defining moment for Pudge. Loria and Beinfest are doing a fantastic job bringing back key players....enabling the Marlins to be strong contenders next year. Pudge has a chance to defend his WS title. Does the chance to repeat with this great group of players exceed the need for a few extra million elsewhere? I know which way Boras will be pushing him. But I have a sense that Pudge will decide to stay home, and find a way to work out a deal with the Marlins. We need Pudge, and he needs us. :thumbup

December 3, 200322 yr Fox has never been considered a replacement, just a setup-man. If you dont bring back either Urbina or Looper... Fox would be a candidate. At one time he was projected to be a closer for the Braves.

December 3, 200322 yr No, I'm not sure it was 560, but the ESPN board said a sports radio in Florida reported this. I assumed if it were true 560 would be all over it... :confused

I feel disgusted that a Marlins fan would root for an opponent, specially the Braves, because his favorite player plays for that teams. I'm seriously sickened reading that.
