Stanton is just terrible right now. Playing like a guy who wants to be traded.

Slumps happen but he looks worse than I've ever seen him look. Numbers reflect it. He isn't playing frustrated, he's just playing like he doesn't care. I don't know if he's sucking on purpose but it doesn't look like he has any problem with struggling. No reports of him taking extra BP or extra cage swings. He just doesn't give a shit.

He is historically mediocre in April but he has never been this bad. And he's doing nothing to improve. I know he was injured for a week but come on. Do some extra work. Take some extra BP. Take more fucking pitches and swing at less first pitches. Do something to show you care.

Speaking of which, while Rich and Tommy talk about mascots, I think I saw Stanton actually throw something in the dugout after a horrible looking strikeout! Good! Get fucking mad!

Do the dipsh*ts in the front office really need more evidence that Solano needs to gtfo?

 

 

He was decent for 350 ABs last year so for the FO that means they'll let him stick around for the next 3-4 years (a la Coghlan)
