June 18, 201313 yr not sure if mentioned yet. Koehler stays in the rotation, Slowey will be long relief/swing man. Henderson Alvarez set to make his second rehab start in Jupiter tonight, so there will be another change coming.
June 18, 201313 yr Author yep Slowey did a better job than I ever would've expected. Good for him, took advantage of the opportunity. I imagine he'll get some more starts down the road, whether here or with another team.
June 18, 201313 yr I imagine Koehler goes when Alvarez comes up. Obviously if Eovaldi and Alvarez struggle those two guys could come back and step in, which is nice.
June 18, 201313 yr Was kinda hoping Slowey could keep up his great start early in the year but he fell off so this is a good move. Also thank god olmos is gone. He is Brad Hand in a relievers body in that he has absolutely no ability to throw strikes. Im interested to see Eovaldi the rest of the year. IF he cant get deep into games consistently which he hasnt done at any point in his career in the majors or minors then i would make him a reliever because with his stuff i think he can be nasty out of the pen.
