July 30, 201311 yr Boo. I'm just disappointed it ended on a first pit h groundout. Of course, I'd have no complaints if it was a first pitch HR, especially given that pitched looked like a gift.
July 30, 201311 yr Tyler Beede works fine for me. Or just choose the top hitter. I'd prefer a hitter out of next year's draft.

July 30, 201311 yr y'all give this kid up! I'd take Jose over him 10/10. Rodon is 20, hoping to be drafted number 1 next year when Jose is 20 , pitching in the ASG. I can't believe how little credit he is given.

From us, mostly, cause the national media sucks donkey balls.

Of course he gets love here..... I'd much rather try to put a good product out on the field the rest of the year and thus keep Stanton happy while settling for a plus bat.

I'm kinda hoping he has a bit of a setback of a season so he falls in the draft to wherever we end up, but if not ... Beede is good, Aaron Nola is another option - IDK who else outside of that. lol Just saying, though - imagine a rotation of Fernandez, Rodon, Heaney, and Turner. Turner becomes the best #4 in baseball, Heaney the best #3 ... and this would be a young rotation that can do a LOT.
July 30, 201311 yr I'm so happy with our last 4 first round draft picks:  Yelich, Fernandez, Heaney, Moran All will be very good players, especially Fernandez and Moran. Yelich and Heaney will be solid as well.

Cheaper and they can learn the game under your system. Defectors like Jose can breeze through and be MLB ready at 19 or 20. We're writing the new rules out here.

Yelich and Heaney will be solid as well. Absolutely. I'll be sure to be in Jax Thursday for Heaney's debut. He reminds me so much of Josh Johnson. I have a feeling he dominates and makes it down to the 305 for the beginning of next season. I don't think a playoff birth is unreasonable if we're willing to spend on the infield. Sure would be nice to have Hanley back there right now!

We lost the game, it was a joke. With a hitting team bad as this one, if you can't joke around laugh at some of these losses... you'll go mad. The weird thing is that I remembered you got the joke last time because you liked it. So why get on me this time? They're not going to lose intentionally, but if it happens and we get Rodon or someone of that quality, I am not going to complain.

It was cool the first time but now it's becoming a bit redundant, especially for this Duke fans taste! I don't mean to scold man, just don't like to see that shade of red, especially around here man!  EDIT: Also repeated postings made me think you guys were actually a bit more literal than before.
July 30, 201311 yr Why did Redmond leave Turner in to hit with a man in scoring position when he later pulled him after only one batter?

July 30, 201311 yr That is one of those game where I would have thrown a fit had we been closer in the pennant race. Â fucking blows to end the game on the first pitch to stanton.
