6/27 - Athletics at Marlins

Hey fellas; I'm sure you guys missed me. Not. Well, that disaster yesterday might be the turning point for this team, in a bad way. That clown Baker's inability to simply pick the ball up off the ground led to 14 innings of frustration, destroyed the bullpen, and put the Fish a game under .500 with Oakland coming in for three games. If they lose this game (and it ain't looking good) the pressure is on Eovaldi & Heaney to win the next 2 games to get them back to .500. If they lose both of those games they will be 4 games under .500, and I don't see them getting back to .500 before the Trading Deadline. Which of course means Sell Off time around here: good bye McGehee, possibly good bye Cishejk, and maybe good bye Stanton too. All because of Jeff Baker not being able to pick the ball up.

Nice to see you made it onto the new software. How's it going?

Paging Erick. Has anyone seen him since the software change over?

He may be stuck on the login page like poor squall. I saw squall's account was locked for failed logins. He didn't use a real email address for his account though.

SQUALL IF YOU SEE THIS, EMAIL ME!

Yeah I got locked out as well, but I emailed you and stuff

So far it seems the finest posters (me, squall, erick) on this board are the ones getting locked out. Hmmmmm Admin Hmmmmm...

I noticed Wild Card was like the first member to log in. LOL

I had some trouble too, but I figured it out on my own. It took like 45 minutes.

Of course the team has blown about 5 or 6 games due to Redmond's managing. This guy has not managed the team like he was in a tight division race. On the contrary, Redmond manages this team like it's September and they're 15 games out. His bullpen moves have been terrible, his refusal to pinch hit for Mathis & Jones in game tying or game winning situations, his clue-lessness when it comes to late inning defensive substitutions...basically Redmond has managed like "losses are no big deal. We'll get them tomorrow". He knows Loria won't fire him because A) his salary is very low and Loria is cheap and B) the team is much better than last year so he won't lose 100 games again. In fact if they lose "only" 90 games this year everyone will say Redmond did a great job!

The rest of this season is going to be long and boring.

Time to start wondering who the Marlins will get for Chisak and if anyone is dumb enough to take Jones.

Why thanks, Admin. I didn't even know there was a software changeover. Too bad the fact that I made it and the best guys did not. What can I say? Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

You know what the marlins need?!?!?! To BO LIEVE!!!!!!!

Sounds like a Bo Jackson promotion

You can really feel the confidence fading. And I dont know how many times but it feels like Marcel Ozuna comes up with the bases loaded every game and has not come through.

You rarely find guys as reliable as Cishek. You keep him no matter what.

I think we might actually get a really good middle IF type prospect for Cishek in which case we should take it

We're set there for years, though: Hech at SS, Solano at 2B.

Glad I made you laugh. Having followed this team since Day One, those are the exact scenarios that go through my mind, especially with this ownership. I hate Jeffrey Loria, and in my opinion he would be very happy if the Fish had to be Sellers rather than Buyers at the Deadline. That's who he is. He's cheap. Anyway, save your snarky stupidities for someone else; I can't stay to see what sort of brilliant answers my posts are going to cause you to vomit out. I'm going out to the Casino to play some black jack, see if I can make a few bucks and feel better, which I doubt is gonna happen. Listen, I hope I'm wrong about everything! I really hope they don't lose all these games and that they stay in the race. I hope they force Loria to have to spend some money. But having seen this team and this ownership in action over the years, excuse me if I ain't betting any on money on that happening. See you guys later.
