  1. His eyesight is the issue.
  2. Stanton's market value will be north of $30M a year. No chance Loria pays that much.
  3. Stanton is not fat. And he is now only a triple and a homer from the cycle.
  4. Bour is fat. Stupid.
  5. No way Cubs are giving Soler AND Bryant for anyone. Plus Ricketts family is not exactly rolling in dough anymore.
  6. Yeah brony, Because the MLB minimum is 9.7 million. Jackass. 500k minimum 25 or so days service Do the math
  7. Will cost Loria about 60k per player added from minors. Don't expect anyone else except maybe Realmuto.
  8. Advanced fielding statistics are to be used only when discussing Hech.
  9. Longoria's OPSing 721 So is Pedroia's. Votto's constantly hurt, probably forever. Velander's era is 4.50 or something
  10. Power, particularly right handed power, is scarce. Ozuna has it. Yelich not much. Ozuna is a better defensive outfielder. Lock them both up. $90M should do them both.
  11. Sketchy as they may be, I will take them 7 days a week, 365 days a year, over someones eyes. I would also argue the current defensive metrics arent quite as flawed as people make them out to be. Someone's eyes are a big part of those defensive metrics you love.
  12. Kershaw
  13. Marlins make the playoffs and GS is MVP. Might be if they don't.
  14. Boy, that Hech is a real load with the glove.
  15. Marlins could probably get Furcal for $2M for next year. If they hurry.
  16. The decision to go or stay a Marlin is Stanton's, not Loria's. Loria only controls the timing and only for two years.
  17. He has improved a lot this year, but there are still only three shortstops in baseball who are worth less than he is: http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=ss&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=y&type=8&season=2014&month=0&season1=2014&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&sort=21,a Yeah, "range"
  18. Hech is an asset at SS.
  19. The Marlins do not have a surplus of pitching.
  20. By season's end, Hech will have a higher batting average than McGehee.
  21. ARTICLE! http://www.therunnersports.com/2014/07/28/miami-marlins-call-jake-marisnick/ "Valuable trade chip" LOL

Marlins have two outstanding players. One had major surgery and his return to greatness is iffy. Stanton will be gone in two years or less. Marlins have four other solid ML pitchers. Two are back of rotation types. One won't be with Marlins next year. Little else of note. No sure things in the minors. Infield is a disaster. Lousy defensively in any combination. Only bat is at third and he won't be a Marlin in 2016. No help in minors except possibly at third and that is no sure thing. Outfield solid except RF will be open in the next two years. Nothing in the minors. Catching poor defensively and sporadic offensively. Possible help fromminors as early as next year. Some help should be coming with Stanton's departure but FO needs to get it right. Marlins not an attractive destination for free agents who have a choice. I see nothing but mediocre to lousy teams in our future.
  23. Can I give it back? You may certainly ignore it.
  24. While it's great what Casey has done especially the career high BB% and career low K%, his .370 BABIP isn't going to last forever Not long. Higher now.
