6/27 - Athletics at Marlins

By my count this is the 7th game that Redmond has blown with his crazy moves.

Honestly, did anyone in the universe think giving Gregg the 8th inning job would end well besides Redmond? I feel like even Gregg must have been surprised.

I don't think I've ever seen an intentional walk with no outs. What the fuck

Should have gone to the damn casino. But with a 5-4 lead I thought we had a chance. I forgot just how moronic of a manager Redmond is. Now we have to suffer through another disgusting post game press conference with Redmond making his stupid jokes and smiling and saying it's all the players' fault for "not executing".

I can't stand those smiles I just want to reach into my TV and slap him

He has been pitching well so far this year, but the point is that with Morris having thrown only 8 pitches in the 7th, there was no reason to bring in anybody to pitch the 8th! This idiotic thinking that you have to let each guy pitch only one inning is the dumbest thing I ever seen.

Honestly, I do not know what to say. Sad that we as fans have had the last two games weve had. As I predicted, this team is in a tail spin and its about to speed up.

No he hasn't. He's been getting away with deep fly ball outs that make his numbers look only slightly below average, but he's been way luckier than he's been good. His ERA is over 5. That's not an 8th inning guy, and really shouldn't even be a Major Leaguer.

Since this game has become the baseball equivalent of a diaper threatened with Taco Bell, can we start taking bets on post game transactions?

My pick:

-DeSclafani to the DL (or optioned if his injury isn't too bad)

-Jennings up from AAA.

Now I'm outta here. I wouldn't be surprised if Redmond was told by Loria to get swept this weekend so that all this talk about spending money at the trade deadline gets squashed for good. They could be 4 games under .500 come Monday.

Jennings is a horror show too. So is Dunn, but once that first lefty got a hit off Gregg, there was no reason not to have Dunn ready to come in to pitch to one guy and get the last out in the 8th. Redmond is a moron.

Doolittle is having one of the best seasons in baseball history for a reliever. This should be a fun inning to watch, too bad we don't have Furcal, Hech, Solano, and Jones due up.
