GuitarPik
Hey guys, was hoping someone could help shed some light on this for me... Back in the day when I had season tickets, my friends and I would go to most games and afterwards camp out at gate G to meet players and get autographs. We haven't done this in years and just got the urge to try and get back into collecting autographs. The thing is, I'm not familiar with this at all at the new ballpark. Is there any area fans gather to wait for players to come out after games? We were planning on going tomorrow night to check it out. Also, where should I park? Will I need a parking pass if we show up as the game is ending? Thanks a lot guys!
Admin
After the game, a bunch of the players exit at the Third Base Dugout Club on the north side, not sure where the bus for the visiting team is. Not sure on the parking pass question so I'll let someone else answer that one.
Michael
Third base parking garage seems to be a good spot, according to a friend of mine who's attended around 60 or so games there thus far.
GuitarPik
Thanks for the tips guys. Does anyone have any info on parking? Can I park in the garage for free if the game is over?
Michael
Third base parking garage is really the only consistent place. A couple of times I've gone to the clevelander after a game and seen a player there hanging out. Really cool experience, but not the right place to ask for an autograph. "Yeah, boobs! Yeah, beer! Yeah, Stanton! Autograph please."
Admin
I once asked Conine for a pic while he was eating an hors d'oeuvre at a Marlins event cause I'm a jerk. He wiped his hands off on his suit to do it so he wouldn't get my suit dirty.

Michael
Way2go jerk. Luckily Conine is a nice guy. I saw him on a cruise and like an idiot I asked him for his autograph with nothing for him to sign. Not even a pen. Dude grabbed his napkin and got a pen from the bartender and signed the napkin. Then I got drunk that night and lost it. Derp. Did you wipe your shit with it? Seems like you'd do that.

Michael
Anyone have any info on parking If I show up as the game is ending? You mean like just go for autographs and not actually be there for the game?

SilverBullet
Don't park at any of the Marlins garages or lots if you're going at the end, they'll think ur a weirdo stalker and probably not let u in. Park anywhere else and walk over there. Still not sure why you wouldn't just go to the game itself, enjoy the time and the ballpark and just try to get ur autographs when the game ends. Totally skipping the game and jumping to the autographs is a bit weird.

I guess I'm just weird like that. My bad.

I guess I'm just weird like that. My bad. Wasn't trying to offend you but I think you can understand how someone who only wants to show up to the ballpark when players are leaving is unusual at first glance. With that said, I know ur intentions are good ones. I was just making an observation.

The parking garages definitely have attendants post game directing people out towards the exits. Not sure about the surface lots though as I've only parked there once. But the actual garages I haven't seen anyone either, but I Olly parked there twice .
Edmeister
If you check the promo of the game sometimes they will have an autograph session in the team store outside the park. It's open to everyone and you don't need to have tickets. I've met, mcgehee, sololano, eovaldi, Cozart, and Dunn.
