December 19, 201411 yr lol 'got us a sweet stadium deal'. He f*cked the city of Miami out of BILLIONS of dollars. Not saying the Marlins didn't win out in that one, but holy hell the city of Miami got f*cked royally. Not really fair to Miami taxpayers that they're stuck with the bill for our stadium. It was genius by Samson in Co. and total incompetency by former Miami mayor Carlos Alvarez and everybody else involved in the decision, but it's truly messed up Miami taxpayers are now stuck with the bill.

Who cares if the city is stuck with it. With all of the fraud and corruption in the system most of our tax money is spent on welfare programs that don't work, or school systems that don't work. It's just a crock of shit! I would rather the city pay for a stadium that creates jobs and provides entertainment and also helped us keep our Marlins, than to keep throwing money helplessly at a failing education system. Which by the way is a false argument anyway because that money was from the hotel bed tax that could only have been used for something like the Marlins Stadium or the convention center. That money could not have been used for anything else.
