MrMarlinPride
Hey guys, So over the past couple of months school and organizations have taken over my life but now with the Spring semester wrapping up I'm trying to get back in the swing of watching baseball. I've only seen some highlights here and there and read stats but they aren't always as telling. My question for you all is simple, just like the title; Which players on the roster have impressed you most during Spring Training? Any surprises to make the roster after a hot March? I'm really excited for the season to start and for the Marlins to show the world they're here to contend for the top spot in the NL East. Erick
Jhonaton Solano. I didn't know it was possible to have more than one Solano in an organization, but he's proving us wrong.

Has he been better than Salty? Don't even need to ask about Mathis because I already know the answer, at least speaking about offensive production. MrMarlinPride
Valdespinga, he better make the team. Little guy is still around huh (fun fact he's actually 6 ft somehow, must be the stance)? He's a nice utility guys for roster depth and had some good moments with the team last year. Glad to see he's fighting for a spot.

wild blue
Wild Card has surprised me... he's managed to avoid pissing everyone off on here for a bit this Spring. Here comes season...
SilverBullet
I wouldn't doubt the front office already working with the Solano family on an extension for the baby.

Given it's spring, but yes, he has had a better spring offensively than Salty. .462/.500/.615/1.115 compared to Salty's .233/.343/.300/.643. It's actually kind of bad. And yes, he is a better defensive catcher than Salty as well, though that's not hard to be.
