Who is continuously the first guy out of the pen. It isn't bad that Cishek is here. It's bad that he is the guy who relieves the starter in high leverage situations. When a guy loses his job as the closer, you let him figure things out by getting innings in blowouts or 4+ run affairs, not in games like this. DJ thinks the opposite.

I feel like I have seen him do anything other than hit huge HR's or flail at outside sliders all year. I might even experiment with Gordon, Prado, Yelich, Stanton, Bour, Ozuna, Hech, Realmuto Either way Yelich can't continue to hit 7th. he's your 2nd best player

But it on another note, just 7 of Ruben Tejada's 8 rbi are against the Marlins. They manage to keep guys from getting sent down.

May 31, 201511 yr Men On Base: .261/.340/.500 (.840 .OPS) Men in Scoring Position: .333/.418/.574 (.992 .OPS) It's really not that hard to look up. Stanton has been fine with men on base in the clutch. He's actually sucked when nobody is on base. He is not even close to being the problem on this team. Maybe some of you should lower your expectations. Just because a player signs a 300+ million dollar deal, that doesn't mean he should be expected to play like Jesus Christ. Mind you, he's making just a little over $6 million this year. Pick on the other countless amount of players on this team who actually suck. Or the manager who just so happens to be the general manager. Or the general manager who...well, we don't even know who it is. Or the owner. Everybody but Stanton sucks. One day, Stanton will be in the Hall of Fame and all of these other losers will just be forgotten players.
May 31, 201511 yr I agree with you, Erick, but his AB's late in games leave a lot to be desired a lot of times. Id be ok with poor results if his ab's were better but there have been way too many flailing ab's late in games. He's not close to the problem right now, however.
May 31, 201511 yr He's always K'd a lot and he's always looked like an idiot chasing sliders from power right-handed pitchers when they get ahead in the count. It's not something new. At the end of the day (or, in this case, year), the #'s will be there. His .228 batting average is rather irrelevant considering the production.
