In fact, I wouldn't be surprised (upset, yes, but not surprised) if the Marlins optioned Realmuto and gave Mathis the starting job with Solano2 sticking around to back him up.

June 2, 201511 yr I think JT will come around. He's been pretty unlucky with the line drives...He needs to be more patient like he was in the minors, but he's projected to hit about .650 OPS the rest of the year.

June 2, 201511 yr regardless you are splitting hairs between the two of them, they are both bad. Haha maybe, maybe not. We know what Solano is and it's really really bad. We're talking a utility infielder here. Why don't we have give the guy who can play all infield spots quite competently a chance (who also happens to be having a respectable year in AAA albeit the PCL but still something Solano never did).

June 3, 201511 yr Holy hell, I love reading all the negativity. People seem to think Wittgren would magically come up and save the season. Flores has been on the waiting list for the majors for two weeks or so now, so this isn't unexpected. He's having a great year, has great stuff, a really awesome K/BB ratio, and should get a shot at starting some point soon. Very good potential for him and really an unknown since his success this year has come in a relatively small sample size.
