May 27, 201610 yr Lets say the Marlins will wear a 1997 Florida Marlins throwback next year. Which jersey would you prefer if they did?
May 27, 201610 yr Author The Marlins should have Throwback Thursdays like the D-Backs do. They should cycle in all of the pre-2003 uniforms and wear them on the road too. This would only be a positive impact on attendance and merchandise sales.
May 27, 201610 yr Yeah it should be all 3 at various points of the season but if we're only gonna get one it undoubtedly should be the home vest that we all remember from when Counsell crossed the plate in game 7. If it's only one, how can the road jersey even be an option? Why would we honor the 1997 team in an away game and not here at home? Oh well, vest it is. Let me know when they're gonna wear 1993 throwbacks, I wanna see Giancarlo in a vest with a teal undershirt and an all teal batting helmet.

May 27, 201610 yr Agreed but I listed all the jerseys they wore in 1997, sue me Ehh, wasn't really picking on you this time, just thinking out loud that nobody should realistically choose that one.
May 27, 201610 yr Author Agreed but I listed all the jerseys they wore in 1997, sue me The law firm of Loria and Samson are preparing the lawsuit as we speak.
May 27, 201610 yr Author The Marlins should wear the 1997 road jerseys when they go to Cleveland in September.
May 27, 201610 yr Author I wish we would wear the 1993 home jersey as a throwback. Loria doesn't like teal I have read so may need to wait for next owner
May 27, 201610 yr Loria doesn't like teal I have read so may need to wait for next owner That's too bad. Those are the real Marlins jerseys.
May 27, 201610 yr Author That's too bad. Those are the real Marlins jerseys. I agree, I'd love to see the teal hats, teal helmets, teal lettering and undershirts.
May 27, 201610 yr I agree, I'd love to see the teal hats, teal helmets, teal lettering and undershirts. I just went back and looked at the uniform historically and noted it was loria that eliminated teal almost entirely in 2003. I had forgotten what year that was.

May 27, 201610 yr Loria doesn't like teal I have read so may need to wait for next owner He can hate it all he wants, it's part of our history. If a future Yankees owner hated navy blue would he change their uniforms for his own color preferences? Fuck off Loria!

May 27, 201610 yr Author I'm pretty sure you're just guessing here but if we do go to Cleveland next year this has to happen. That was my thought too when you brought up why they'd wear the road throwback, no idea on 2017 opponents yet
May 27, 201610 yr Author That was my thought too when you brought up why they'd wear the road throwback, no idea on 2017 opponents yet Probably just the Rays plus AL West teams.
May 27, 201610 yr That was my thought too when you brought up why they'd wear the road throwback, no idea on 2017 opponents yet It was my thought as well but know the schedule isn't out yet I didn't think it needed to be brought up. But man it'd be awesome if they could do it.
