I remember because I have Miguel Olivo's vest from that game. I'd like to see the Home sleeved or the road since we have already gotten the vest.

Yes. That's the one I wanna see worn again. I actually like the black better because this one is too much teal but it's the nostalgia that I want more than the aesthetics. Not that it's ugly mind you.

Yeah, the Loria Florida Marlins road jersey sucked most of all. The best part of the original road jersey was the F with the Marlin on it.

If I owned the team, I would roll back the jerseys to circa 1997. The road jerseys would be modeled after those but with Miami spelled out instead. The cap would be identical to the short lived BP alternate with the fish jumping through the M (which stood for Marlins).

Does this thread matter? We lost today.

It's not the nostalgia; all the pre-2003 uniforms are genuinely more attractive than anything from the Loria era, especially 2012 to the present.

Yes the early Marlins uniforms are nice and I know you're not a fan of the current sets but I'd strongly argue that Stanton looks way better in our current white home uniform than he would in the 1993 teal undershirt vest with the all teal helmet. He'd look gaudy in that but looks sharp in the current set. Just my opinion on it.

I liked the way the Florida script matched the style of the classic Marlins script but yeah that has to be our most boring and worst jersey ever by comparison.

Of note, it's actually quite interesting to me how few jerseys we've had. Of course we've gone through a few changes but we've just had 5 caps and thirteen jerseys since inception, not counting batting practice stuff. Not a lot compared to some teams.

Yes because five years from now we'll still be talking about the teal jerseys fondly while no one but you will remember today's loss.

This one?

Why didn't this logo ever take off?

If Loria ever decides to sell the team, we should blast this all over social media to give the hints to new ownership. This logo is amazing.

Good question. My guess, that was when having a secondary logo specifically for batting practice was a new fresh thing and some teams did it just to do it and there's probably a huge collection of BP logos from the late 90s early 00s that have gone missing and we were just one of them. Gonna look them up when I get a chance.

Yeah, there was a period in the early 2000s where teams were experimenting with alternative logos just for batting practice. This was the Rockies version for example:

That one still exists. May have gone away for a bit but it's definitely back.

I actually liked his road jerseys. Always felt the original road jerseys looked rushed.

I actually think he looked good in the post 2003 uniforms.

He did, although looking back those uniforms were too heavy on the black, like the White Sox.

True.
