June 11th Post Game

Only 2 runs off Zack Godley is why we lost this one

Yup. Add the fact that we only scored 1 run his last game. We are giving him no room for error.

You can't expect to win too many games if you aren't scoring enough runs consistently. The pitch to Bourn was bad but I was more surprised that Nieves didn't come out to visit after he allowed the 3rd run.

Dunn sucks and we had extras outs given to us in the 8th inning. Ziegler wasn't going to make it easy to try and come back in the 9th.

Winning today means we have won 3 of our last 4. Please don't regress especially after making that big comeback Friday....

Stanton looks so miserable.

Just look at the 3 losses on this road trip. Makes you want to scalp yourself.

Actually, no.  I never want to scalp myself over the result of a baseball game.

Yeah the 0-for-risp did it. I can't say Stanton's killing the team because they're hanging around .500 but can't help wondering where they'd be if he'd been just average this season.

32-30 now. With stanton average and coupled with s happens and blown leads, etc., I feel 36-26.

It goes to show that on the days Jose happens to be off in this case today, the rest of the rotation needs to pick it up.

But the rest of the rotation doesn't play on days that Jose happens to be off.

I'm not sweating this one. Jose isn't gonna win every time out. Gillespie of all people came inches away from saving this one, Jose had just one bad inning, the offense couldn't get a big hit but we still were within one. This is one of those where I just think ah fuck it move on see what happens tomorrow. If anything this is the kind of game that just makes the next game more important.

Leads in EVERY game since the Pittsburgh 10-0 win is a bit concerning.... Since that game we are 6-5 since. Yes...5.

GIDP* and he's hitting over .300 with over a 900 ops and a gold glover. You're complaining about an all star who puts the ball in play constantly, and is one of the best guys in the world at pitch recognition and patience at the plate. Also, you're guessing with Jose losing his emotions. He made a few bad pitches late in the game and the Dbacks were ready. It's easy/lazy to say he lost his emotions and not realize he made some mistakes.

I respect your opinion.

Really hope Jose could learned something from this game and become more matured.

Huh? He did nothing wrong. He pitched five and two thirds perfect innings and got knocked around for like four hitters. I know he can do better but I kinda wish we had more pitchers who can do that. It's not like Jose has to be pulled aside and reprimanded for his performance last night, he should probably be praised more than not.
