7/2 postgame

july 2nd. marlins lose again to Atlanta. could be a long summer.

on the bright side marlins finish the first half 42-39.

but could have easily been 50-31.

it perplexes me. and this is why I preach culture of losing. beat the very very tough cubs team 3 out of 4. 4 game sweep at dodgers. yet cant beat the very worst team in baseball and as an extension, cant win a series vs. the American league's worst team. I'm almost fearing the reds series next week. they are so horrible they may actually sweep us.

@canada-marlin24you know what's amazing about this game? the 7 runs given up by Fernandez wound up being inconsequential anyway. the team cant even score with 1st and 2nd nobody out in the 8th, or bases loaded nobody out in the 9th to at least cut into that deficit. the freeman homer in the first was actually more than enough.

Only the fucking Marlins can make you so happy one night and then 12 hours later wonder how this team is even in contention. They had the matchup in their favor and it doesn't even matter.

I do find they follow up a lot of big wins, like ones we didnt expect to win, with duds.

yup. its the same formula we've had since 2010. wins that get us amped up, then go to the team that's struggling. I almost compare it to a father taking his son to his first game. records aside, the father wants the hometown team to win to make sure his son will leave happy. that's what we are. we supply the good memories for other team's fans. leave it to the marlins to make your fan experience a memorable one.

This lineup really need to upgrade,I said many times.

well you can trace back every little thing that's happened since the end of the season where we failed to upgrade on so many levels.

Not blamed Loria, too many holes to fill, even the owner of Doyers can't get it done.

No. Jose gave up all 9 runs

6 earned runs.  Still a complete lack of focus on his part.  It started as a classic Jose road start (gives up 2 runs in the 1st inning) and then it devolved into a meltdown vs was is essentially Freddie Freeman and a girls team.
