If the Nationals non-tender him, what about trading Hechavarria for a solid 2/3 starting pitcher and then going after Espinosa to play short. 

 

He is a great defender and though strikes out a ton, hits for a good amount of power. 

 

That being said, if you were to tell me Hechavarria goes back to hitting .275-.280 with a .320 OBP then maybe not. But we really dont know what to expect from Hechavarria offensively.
