December 4, 20169 yr 2 of the 3? Seems overboard and almost more of a bad idea than a good idea. My guess would be sign 2 and then they can more easily trade away Ramos for something and still have the super bullpen idea but damn it still seems like too much.

December 5, 20169 yr Even if Loria wants to get it done I wouldn't think too much about this idea of them getting 2 of the 3. The chances are beyond low. They'd also have to convince the players too. Like if we get one why would either of the other two want to agree to come in and potentially not be the ninth inning guy every time especially on a team that might not even contend. Each of these guys will get good money from good competitive teams, they really have no reason to agree to this idea as it is.

On a one or two year deal, they'd be afraid to go somewhere they won't close since it would hurt future value. Here, they will be locked in for several years so they don't need to worry about the next contract as much.

On a one or two year deal, they'd be afraid to go somewhere they won't close since it would hurt future value. Here, they will be locked in for several years so they don't need to worry about the next contract as much. But what are the chances of us being the only team to offer them more than 2 years? I have to believe multiple teams would offer all 3 of those guys 3-4 years. I dunno just seems so unlikely to actually happen. Too many other factors involved.
