SilverBullet
Welcome aboard. Haven't checked up on Alvarez... is his arm still broken?
Diesel11
From what I can find.. he pitched some last year. Had another shoulder surgery. But hopes to pitch this year.
Admin
No point in throwing money away on him right after shoulder surgery.
Admin
Yes. Please get him. He's going to save the team. The Marlins would have made the playoffs in 2016 if they traded for Ricky Nolasco like I wanted them to.

p
There is no way the Marlins spend a dime for pitchers who might not pitch. We even demanded the poor Padres take Rea back after we broke him. I would honesty like both Hendo and Eovaldi back but none of them would take a minor league contract and Eovaldi is out with TJ anyhow. Admin
We even demanded the poor Padres take Rea back after we broke him He came over with a pre-existing injury, that is why the Padres took him back
Bret Hart
It's near 90% chance to recover the Tommy John surgery. Some pitcher got more speed after that. But Recovering a Shoulder injury is very difficult. It's the rare case to recover and pitch well, just small chance to below 10%. Not even close to a lottery pick. I don't know he still can throw high fast 2-seamer, I just feel his baseball career was almost done.

p
He came over with a pre-existing injury, that is why the Padres took him back I know. But why did they though ? Out of respect ? I noticed the Red Sox mentioned they might demand compensation for Pomeranz injury on what I assume are the same grounds ( think they dropped it though). No, I believe they got compensation for the Pomeranz injury. We dropped OUR case because we got Castillo back.
