Chris Reed retires at age 26

Thank You Mike Hill for giving Grant Dayton away for him. Dayton is a dominant lefty.

Chris Reed - R -  Marlins

Baseball America's Matt Eddy reports that Chris Reed has retired from baseball.

Reed is just 26 and was a first-round pick out of Stanford in 2011, but his career just never really got on track. He did make a couple relief appearances for the Marlins in 2015, but the southpaw produced pedestrian numbers in the minors. Even worse, the Marlins traded Grant Dayton to the Dodgers for Reed and Dayton looks like he'll be a key reliever for Los Angeles for a while.

When was the last time we won something like this?

last season and wait the surprises for 2017

luis castillo & kendrys flores for mcgehee is pretty comprable.

I love dayton though and hated this trade at the time....

And where are they now?

Kendry Flores even couldn't passed the physical for a minor league deal.

Please God Loria sell this team. I'm not even going to watch next season. It's a waste of time.

I think even the fans of Padres would watch their games next season.

Too much other stuff to do. This team bores me.

I honestly disagree with this. I'd rather be a Marlins fan than a Padres fan. Proudly.

I mean even we're not the best team,we're still much better than the worst team like the Padres.
