Team will be on the field around 9:30 AM most days but I am not 100% sure it is open to the public yet. Hope someone else here knows.

Before they begin games or after spring training games have started? In years past the gates on the lower fields usually open around 9, I'm going down on Monday and I'll see what I can find out

I went to camp today, gates opened on the lower fields at around 9:15 then you have to go through bag check and a hand held metal detector.  After the gates opened though that's where the disappointment begins, because the players do stretches and warm-ups starting around 9:30, they're on the fields closest to the big field/locker room area, BUT you can't go past the dugouts of the clover leaf fields nearest those fields. So then you have to wait about an hour before any players come anywhere near you. The players can then just go out the gates of the outfield so chances for autographs/pictures are diminished. I didn't think last year's adjustments were that bad, but this year is absolutely a horrible fan experience.

Wow, That sucks balls. One of the best parts of ST was the access and having fun between fields.

Damn....thanks for the info...yeah I remember how awesome it was freely walking from field to field.

I'm thinking I may go check out the Astros/Nationals new digs in WPB instead.

Exactly. This is ridiculous that they continue to lock it down so much.

I wonder if there was some kind of security issue that made them do this

Just a demand from players for more privacy is what I've heard. Remember Randolph did the same thing with the Mets that the Yankees do- and Mattingly I'm sure is doing the same.
