WHO MIGHT BE ABLE TO REPLACE HOLLANDSCRAP?

Featured Replies

A couple name come to mind who could be had in the future

Old farts first:

1. Baltimore BJ Surhoff- good left-handed bat who can be had for a mid-level prospect

2. Cleveland Matt Lawton- is real struggling but is a good vet. another left-handed bat

3. Oakland Ron Gant- another guy real struggling but when he is on his power is very good.

4. Milwaukee John Vander Wal- great pitch hitter who in the past couple of years has become a good to average starter.

5. Pitts.Reggie Sanders- I don't know if this guy will be on the market but you never know

New Blood:

1. Chicago Carlos Lee-The Sox want to trade him because of there top prospect is ready( I forgot his name)

2.Detroit Bobby Higginson- I know I know its too much $$$$ but if you offer the right prospect for them to take most of his salary you never know

3.KC Raul Ibanez- This guy is about to break out. A sleeper hometown kid is really the offense that is driving KC early on.

4. Tampa Ben Grieves- Tampa could leave him at DH but I think he wants to play the field. Something Tampa will not do long term with Top Prospect in the OF down on the farm ready for the Majors.

5.Minnesota any of those OF they don't want to keep :D :D :D

Royals are cruising in first place...

Grieve is on the DL

ChiSox think this is the year Lee breaks out

I dont see the Twins trading Jones or Hunter....or even Cuddyer

but they could trade Kielty, Radomovic (or whatever his name is) or any of the other 2 or 3 outfielders they have ready to play in the bigs.

Grieve sucks.

Ibanez will not be traded.

Higginson is not new blood, he would go in the old fart category, and he is not worth it, unless Detroit picks up the majority of his contract.

Lee, if the Sox will trade him, go for it, but defensively he is not that good (I thought thats why we didnt want Millar among a few other reasons)

Reggie Sanders, I dont see being traded unless the Pirates fall off the face of the earth or if we offer them a couple of really nice prospects.

VanderWal, would be worth it for a fringe prospect or two.

Gant, is washed up.

Lawton...he was good just a couple years ago, what happened, big contract though, could be worth picking up if you can get the Indians to pick up a good portion of his contract, not that old neither, what is he about 30?

Surhoff is not leaving Baltimore.

Ramp I agree somewhat....

Royals are cruising in first place... yeah lets see when they get out and play someone other than Tigers

Grieve is on the DL.... Not forever

ChiSox think this is the year Lee breaks out...... They been waiting like we've been waiting for our Lee. He could be had for the right price

I dont see the Twins trading Jones or Hunter....or even Cuddyer.... not those guys I was thinking more like Bobby Kietly and Dustan Mohr

in the Royals defense they are 4-2 against the ChiSox and 2-0 against the Twins

Don't you see...not playing H' Worthless is a clear admission that "The Boys"(Samson & Beiny) made a big mistake!

And we won't admit that! We'll play that guy until the Expos are printing up playoff tickets! Ohhh nooo we won't give Banks a chance just like they didn't want to admit that Mr. Blue Collar, Replacement player Kevin was better than their precious prospect D Lee a few years ago! But the man out played Lee in Spring a won the job!

But H' Worthless getting paid the bucks, with his Hummer out there in the parking lot, but can't hit worth crap or add to the clubhouse spirit like Millar, will play....because it's says, "Why did they get rid of Millar?"

And "The Boys" don't want to have to answer that!

If Hollandsworthless keep playing like this... Brain "The Next Millar" Banks will be in there.. it'll just take Torborg some time to think about it since he's a retard...

Btw play here some shocking Millar stats:

Millar: In the last 7 days

G: 7

AB: 28

R: 4

H: 4

2B: 1

3B: 0

HR: 2

RBI: 5

BB: 2

SO: 9

SB: 0

CS: 0

AVG: .143

OBP: .200

SLG: .393

OPS: .593

very possible DT!

I know Ramp, his average went down to about 300... hope keeps it up...but I would still take it over our H' Worthless :banghead

Let me drop some names that would probably be good fits for the marlins in left field.

Bobby Kielty- Minnesota

Timo Perez- Mets

John Vander Wal- Milwaukee

Daryle Ward- LA

This would probably not happen, but I would like to see Jeff Conine come back but I don't think that would happen.

I remember mentioning Daryl Ward last winter...but everyone essentially blew that off.....

He is a decent hitter and usually makes the plays in left field that he gets too....horrible range, but doesnt miss balls.

Could of been had for cheap last winter...probably still could if they really wanted him....

I would welcome back Conine in a heartbeat as well....Mr. Marlin deserves to retire a Marlin.

It might be a little too late, but what about Brad Wilkerson? He is young and very good from what I have seen, and very cheap from what I have heard. He could also be ready for a breakout year...

Wilkerson will be perfect. Last year he did extremely well and he does have good Pop and is a lefty, i hope the Marlins have an eye on him.

Exactly. He is great, and would be betta than Hollandsworth... Plus, we might even be able to get him for someone we don't use... (I.E. Brian Banks and someone else)
