May 2, 20197 yr Seems abrupt. Didn't he come in with high accolades namely helping to make the Golden State Warriors a big deal? Hadn't we heard that he was doing good things thus far? Did something happen or did they not like his changes? And I wonder if anything that he did change gets removed or reversed. If so, I hope Billy the Marlin goes back to being normal looking. I hope this isn't a sign of Jeter being impatient and making rash Loria level decisions when things aren't working. If it is, then we're all fucked.
May 2, 20197 yr I hope this isn't a sign of Jeter being impatient Well there have been signs of this before so that may be the case.
May 2, 20197 yr My guess pure speculation. This will be something along the lines of banging a co-worker/inappropriate workplace behavior.
May 2, 20197 yr My guess pure speculation. This will be something along the lines of banging a co-worker/inappropriate workplace behavior. With it being abrupt, I would think there is something that happened so yeah maybe.
May 2, 20197 yr My guess pure speculation. This will be something along the lines of banging a co-worker/inappropriate workplace behavior. I think the same. Maybe he tried to make a little chocolate chip?
May 2, 20197 yr My guess pure speculation. This will be something along the lines of banging a co-worker/inappropriate workplace behavior. Maybe not as specific as what you’re listing but it would seem premature to fire him now based on performance related measures as you suggest
May 2, 20197 yr Well there have been signs of this before so that may be the case. If it's that you might start getting me on the real #FuckJeter bandwagon.
May 2, 20197 yr Maybe not as specific as what you’re listing but it would seem premature to fire him now based on performance related measures as you suggest Premature was a bad word choice based on DTrain's speculation.
May 2, 20197 yr Maybe not as specific as what you’re listing but it would seem premature to fire him now based on performance related measures as you suggest Exactly. Patience patience patience and then fire one of your top guys not even 18 months into his tenure? That's almost beyond Loria level if you think about it. Chip didn't get to finish even two months of the first season of the real start of the community rebranding that he was so much involved with. Very odd.
May 2, 20197 yr Premature was a bad word choice based on DTrain's speculation. Hey it happens to the best of us.
May 2, 20197 yr Maybe he was in charge of deciding what color jersey would be batting practice and alternate. Clearly they had those mixed up.
May 2, 20197 yr Maybe he was the guy that told Jeter to say all that stuff about the ballpark experience.
May 2, 20197 yr At least the firing of Chip Bowers will once and for all make baseball fans around the country and the baseball media take the Marlins seriously.
May 2, 20197 yr Just putting in all the tweets so far just so everyone sees em...
May 2, 20197 yr He probably knew the score of the game last night and who was playing and so they fired him.
May 2, 20197 yr He probably got pissed that local hero Brinson was demoted, it ruined all of the local branding possibilities and he called Jeter an idiot.
May 2, 20197 yr Guess this is part of the overall "rebuild", hire, fire, trade. No one seems safe. This guy seemed like he wanted to improve the experience, and it's hard to blame him for low attendance when the team can't find ways to win. Maybe he did get caught doing something, but this whole thing seems odd.
