wow...when i read this article if felt exactly like when my baby brother kicked in the nutts with those hard orthepedic shoes....how can they lie and spit in our faces like that...for you guys that were there on parade day do u remember all the bulls*** they fed us that day.....what a focking crock of sh*t....

good post

Why did you vote yes?!

are you a marlins fan?

why wouldnt you vote yes??? dont you want us to have a new stadium?

Well... the more north the Fish move the less driving I have to do. :thumbup

Unless it's out of the State of Florida.

Why did you vote yes?!

HELLO??!!!

WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU VOTE NO 30 TIMES??

do you realize that the poll basically asks: do you support the marlins? yes or no?

if no wins out, it literally means the commission was wrong for giving 73 million to the marlins... in other words, they should have given nothing.

sure, the wording is rigged, but really the only thing you should vote for is yes.

The only real northern spot in Florida that I could see possibly being able to support a major league team is Jacksonville. As much as I would love to have them in Orlando it's just not possible.

Miami: 259 miles south.

Jacksonville: 182 miles north.

Heh heh! Silly me, I read the question wrong.

DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

sorry i had to :thumbup

The article proves that polliticians are good liars.

Land if Marlins get cash = lie

Miami would fund $73 mil = lie

Also tthe Marlins win two W.S. and they get crap. The Panthers nor the Heat win champions and they get arenas, how f***** up is Miami.

Look, I'm a fan from Pinecrest and I've been attending Marlins games since 1994. Not all fans in Pinecrest are bandwagoners. However, this city does have the worst bandwagon attitude i've ever seen. It's pathetic.

I find it insulting that the Heat and Panthers can get new facilities, and the Marlins get lied to every time. I thought there was a good chance at getting the stadium shortly after the World Series, but clearly the love of the Marlins has quickly worn off in the legislature. Stupid corrupt Miami....they can never get anything done because everyone's worried about themselves. No wonder the city went bankrupt a few years back...

:angry :angry :angry

:killthemall *cleaning out the corruption*

Somewhere in the back of my mind i see a tape of Manny Diaz on Fox in NYC right b4 the ws talking about how he made a bet with bloomberg that if the marlins won he would get a cheesecake, maybe he wasn't rooting for the marlins- maybe it was the cheesecake, because he sure doesn't like us very much right now

Wow then they say that Marlins fan / FO doesnt want to do anything to try and get a staduim, but now they are the ones saying NO. I dont know what i would do without the Marlins here in Miami... If they would go to homestead i dont care i wuold go there to watch them.. I just dont want them to go far up North. :banghead

What do you prefer, a championship team up north or a 1998 in Miami?

What do you prefer, a championship team up north or a 1998 in Miami? I drive so far to games, another 35 minutes wouldn't be that bad.

Yeah it would!@

Miami would fund $73 mil = lie

In this case, dont put Miami-Dade county and the city of Miami in the same boat. They are completely separate. The county, not the city, is the one who pledged $73 million and they are sticking with that until March 15. But now with the CITY not putting anything into it, that money may never be used. Don't fault the county on this one.

So does this mean Miami Beach gets it's money back?

Probably for the convention center. Not if another location in Dade County is found.

I kinda know Manny Diaz, I'll be sure to give him a call and make my opinions known. Maybe from one Belen guy to another he might at least listen for a minute.

It is all up to the County and the State now. If the county comes through, we have our 73 mil. If the state comes through like a while back they said they would, then we could this won yet.

What we should do is start a drive among the people of Miami. Collect money or something. That way they can see that people care enough. I'm gonna get this going sometime during my break, have until the 5th to get it up and running.

Ross is 100% correct on this.

Agreed, it's the City of Miami who is fumbling this one. They don't deserve the benefits a stadium would bring them. :thumbdown
