MLB is forbidding boozy playoff celebrations

Featured Replies

They aren't specifically saying why though. Is this to avoid drunk players making dumb decisions? MLB will probably get more flack for this one than they should but were players actually getting drunk in clubhouse celebrations? I always felt like that was more of making a mess of beer and champagne out of fun and excitement as opposed to actually consuming too much of it. This one seems overly precautious.

Can they use non alcoholic beverages? Is it the booze that is the issue?

Maybe they can use cider?
