If you start a franchise with a particular roster and certain players, you'll keep them. If you start a new franchise after updates, you'll get that roster. Ask whatever ya need and I'll try to answer. 😄

You can choose the roster you want to start with in every mode except March To October which uses preset rosters from around Opening Day because it's kinda like a pre set type of story narrative thing. But for everything else you can choose any roster, old, new, or even something customized.

Road to the Show is now linked to Diamond Dynasty (unfortunately), but they do have storylines that go with it so it could be fun. You can be a two-way player!
November 23, 20214 yr Yeah I'm trying the two way player thing. And I haven't even touched Diamond Dynasty yet. Trying to figure out how to stop myself at a base when baserunning as my created player.....I thought I had told him to stop at 2nd but he kept going and got thrown out.

The question is whether or not they can keep working on the game during the lockout which I assume is a yes because they're not advertising marketing profiting etc from the players during development. In a sense they're developing the game in private. If the lockout is still a thing when the release date approaches then maybe but as far as working on the game I don't think the lockout is an issue.

January 2, 20224 yr Ok I guess that's what was being asked but whether or not they're able to work on the game in the meantime I think is a valid question which is why I went there. Because if Sony has to shut down work on the game and the lockout ends before release date then the game would still be delayed even though the lockout ended. I guess Jack wasn't going there but it's a worthy question.
